Long, boring drive.

Saw a GIANT CROSS in Ohio.

Wow.

Today I was trapped in Kansas. It would not let me leave. In fact, Topeka tried to keep me.

Fled to MO. Stopped at Ozarkland for some shopping.

Found a giant nail in my ride's tire. Damn. Had to get a new tire. Met two mechanics who smelled of urine. New tire is good.

Got back on the road. Enjoyed St. Louis!

Was unable to get a hotel within 50 miles of St. Louis due to Baptist convention.

Boring day in the car.

Snow in the Rockies. Was prohibitted from playing in it.

Met state trooper in Colorado when my chauffeur was pulled over for recklessly endangering cattle.

Hello.

Today I was shafted. Left in the car. Rejected. Apparently my traveling companions did not want to carry me on their hikes into cliff dwellings. Went to Hole 'n the Rock. Made nice with a bull and a cowboy.

Fine. Here are the cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde:

Drove like a madman. Went to Lake Powell. Visited the fire ants.

Continued through Utah to Bryce Canyon. Utah is beautiful. 89 and the 12 might be the most lovely roads in the US. Played amongst the hoodoos.

Was too chicken to travel down in them with my travel buddies. Laura was harassed by a chicken bone which used the super-stealth tactic of hiding in a chimichanga to do the job. Sara spotted a bear at Bryce Canyon, and by "bear" we mean "woman on motorcycle at the base of a tree."
